When we found out that the City of Sebastian would be celebrating its 100th year, we were shocked. And grateful, that we are here in this era to celebrate it!
Sebastian started as a small fishing village with records dating back to the late 1800s. It was officially incorporated as a city in 1923, and is home to the Nation's First Wildlife Refuge.
When we tell people where we're from, most people have never heard of it. But to us, there is a certain pride in being from this small town.
So we wanted people to be just as excited as we are about it's 100th birthday! Which is why when the City asked us for help with their website, we were so happy to assist.
Having the branding for this event already in place was *key* in designing the new website.
We carried over the fonts and color palette that we used in the logo and collateral design. Since the Sebastian Centennial Celebration is a year-long event, we incorporated a calendar of events, as well as a countdown clock.
It was important for our client to include historical photos and stories on the site as well, so we created a sliding gallery that's full of images for viewers to get lost in.
Lastly we recreated the sponsor packet on a separate page, with links to fill out the form digitally, and included a flipbook of the sponsor packet itself.
